I guess these were the chosen people. Nobody else in the world was allowed to see Nibiru. Reminds me of primitive people watching an eclipse of the sun.
Hard to believe anyone would think they were looking at another sun or planet in this day and age.
Light gets refracted all the time, especially lower on the horizon. It would be much more rare to see this higher in the sky.
